I need to print some very high quality scans of pictures I have for my art magazine, laser or inkjet?
What should I look for? I need to scan and print some art images to submit for my producers. Some of the art has very fine lines close together. Most of them are sketches and drawings using pencils and pen on paper with not much color used. Some of it is also paintings done by local artists. I want to capture color and just as importantly, detail. When the sketch prints out, it’s important that if a magnifying glass is used, there shouldn’t be much, if any at all, detail loss. As far as scanners go, I assume I just look for high resolution capability? Cost is important as well, this is sort of a one time deal at the moment, I’d rather not have to pay 600+ for a printer and scanner if possible and use it once.Thank you everyone in advance.
What’s best for micro printing? Anything that can print micro text or numbers should be fine capturing the details of the art. Colors should match up well too of course.
Best answer:
are there any photo studio around your place,. ask them i they do scan or they do reproduce big pictures…
if its a really high quality images.. i dont think that computer printers, or house printers and scanner would be good enough.. go to photo studios that might offer the services that you need.

inkjet will produce a nicer picture than laser.
However depending on the size you may be buying lots of ink. In previous answer go to a photo shop and have them do it.
