Depends on how big you want it, and the artists hourly rate.

Most artists charge $100 an hour, or $150 an hour if they’re GREAT.

Alot of artists also have a minimum, for example $50.00.

It really depends on the artist, and the amount of detail..but I could not imagine a barcode tattoo taking over an hour……..so do NOT pay over $100 for something like that.

P.S. Don’t forget to tip your artist, and if you CAN have a friend go with you that has a lot of visible tattoos, or knows the artist…more likely you WON’T get ripped off as a new client.

Minimal, its small, 1 color and just takes drawing straight lines…I’d say $60-70

Maybe you could scan the UPC of the last person who had one and find out by looking on the register computer or simply ask the cashier. “Scan it!” “It’s not Scanning”, “Uhmmm then label it and tape it to the manager’s door”

ok, although people do get bar codes what alot of people don’t realise is that your skin is ALWAYS changing, so if you got a bar code on the back of your neck or anywhere else on the skin..over the years those perfectly straight lines will begin to crook and eventually you’ll either have to cover it up or you’ll have to get it touched up rather heavily.

This can happen within a matter of 5 years. I would think seriously before getting a bar code tattooed on you for that reason alone. If I was going to get inked I would want something that I would only have to go back for touch ups..not something I would have to get complete fixed all together.

Cost? Depends on the size, where you want it etc. Generally if you get a tat where it’s visible it will cost considerably less than if you got it somewhere you could hide it. Neck..I would say somewhere between 65-200 bit that depends on if you want color..numbers on the bottom or letters..even the experience of the artist. Do your research and don’t go for cost. The cheaper the tattoo, well…the CHEAPER it is..it’s likely the person won’t put a much into it and you wont get what you went for.

that slipknot tat is out of date man, plus if you do it you better find a damn good artist cause i have done a cover of one that was not straight and it looked BAD! the lines are so thin that if you dont have a good artist it will be blotchy and not straight and will look horible.

im not talking you out of doing it but do your research. somewhere around $200 maybe more depending on the day and the artist. the more experienced the more it will cost.
