I want to learn Linux on my own. Please suggest a good book on learning Linux.?

I am looking for a book with lots of clear examples that comes with a CD-ROM to work in a Linux environment without having to install it on a machine that already runs on Windows. I have a book from Wrox publication for learning UNIX with such CD-ROM and am wondering if I can find the similar one for learning Linux. Please give me the name of the book, the author(s), the publication, year of publishing, and perhaps the ISBN#, which is on the barcode of the book. Thank you very much.

    The best thing to do is to download and install a copy on a system and just play around with it. You can find Linux online for free.

    The best thing is to download and install it on your own and work on it, not book require, there is too much LINUX information on the web, after all LINUX is open source and so is everything that you need to learn it.

    SUSE Linux is really good.
    RED HAT Linux is the most popular one though.

    linux is huge, if you really want a book on it,http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764579371/qid=1143792695/sr=8-2/ref=pd_ka_2/026-8148167-2451651 linux for dummies, but you would be better off buying a book for you linux distrubution.

    you can also google most linux querys as manny people have been there already

    and for the CDs you can get it from the net for free.
