I would like to be able to scan a upc label to keep an inventory of my dvd and cd collection.?
I have a large collection of cd’s and dvd’s and i would like to keep a inventory of them by scanning the upc. What software and hardware would i need? And how difficult would it be tp do. Thanks.

just but a USB barcode scanner. the way they work is .. if you scanned any barcode from anything it would enter text just like you typed it. so you click word and scaned the barcode without anythign else it would just put the info on the barcode into the computer. there are more complex systems out there for this… Wasp is one of them.
but just get a USB barcode scanner and a USB Barcode printer. you can write your name in barcode and scan it anytime you have to enter your name on any page anywhere…. pritty neet

I’ve seen stuff like that on TV, it even downloads the Album Art from the internet. I don’t remember what its called though. and it wouldn’t be that hard to do. You would only have to buy the software and a hand-held scanner. (find the software you want, then look on eBay for it for 1/2 price. You would also be able to get a hand-held scanner on eBay for super cheap too…)
