If you black out the price on a receipt can you still return the item?
If you black out the price on a receipt can you still return the item?
Does the cashier need more than the barcode to return an item? or will i be safe blacking out the amount in dollars?
Best answer:
If you do not have a receipt showing the price paid, it is store policy (99.99999% of stores) to only credit the LOWEST price the item has sold for in a certain period of time.
Most stores will exchange (even Steven) for an exact item – if size is different.
Many stores now offer Gift Receipts, these do not show the prices but allow for the exact credit of the price you paid.
Watch the store’s stated policies – many retailers are being unreasonable about returns because they are on the verge of collapse.
Maybe a Visa gift card would be better if you think the person is going to take your present back.
