Barcode has nothing to do with the security. Most products now have those little white strips with metal inside that are built into the packaging. These will go off almost every time. Try it.

there are barcodes that have tiny metal attach on it. if you remove it you can get out the store without noticing it. Are you gonna steal something? Just joking.. hehehe

The bar code has nothing to do with the security devices. There is usually a device inside the product packaging that has to be deactivated by the store clerk in order to not make the alarm go off.

I suggest you reconsider your options. I work retail and from my experience, you are being canvased by security as soon as you walk in. Even if someone is not physically watching you, live camera surveilance which is a cheap but highly effective solution is likely at work. Barcodes do not have anything to do with security. They only contain price and inventory information. Security comes in the form of hidden tags some visibilty on the inside of the package and some integrated into the box itself. This is the 21st century, security has come a long way in the past 50 years so watch it. Laserai Out.
