I’m designing a postcard. Where does the barcode go that the post office prints?
I’m designing a postcard. Where does the barcode go that the post office prints?
Where does the barcode that the post office prints at the bottom of all mail go on a postcard (Front or back)?(usually on a regular letter the marks go on the bottom front) How much white space do I need to leave in order to leave room for this? Is there anything else I need to know about restrictions?

Maximum size to be able to calim the First Class Postcard rate of 28ยข is 4 1/2″ x 6″. Over that, it si a letter. If you are designing for a bulk mailing, the size is not an issue as there is no Postcard rate in Standard Mail.
The Barcode Clear Zone is measured from the bottom, going up 5/8″ and from the right 4 3/4″. For a Postcard, this would be the entire length. There is a Quick Service Gudie for Designing Mailpieces at pe.usps.com.
