I’m watching Dateline NBC tonight and I have a court room question?
A woman is on the stand in the background and I see a guy in the foreground sitting lower than her with a a big gray mouth piece completely over his mouth, (looks like a UPC scanner) with earphones. Is this some kind of new way of stenography?

I too am watching Dateline NBC tonight. The Friday the 13th Mystery. I see what you see it probably is a new way of stenography it has been a while since I had jury duty that is the only time I have been in a court room when a trial is going on.
