Ink-jet or laser printer that uses the cheapest ink/toner?
Please suggest a BRAND or better a specific printer that uses the cheapest ink or affordable ink. And a printer that don’t consume ink like an alcoholic.
I’m a college student so im looking for an all in one printer (copier, scanner, printer) minus the fax.
Thank you!
i love giving 10 points so give your best :D

Best answer:
I used to own an HP Deskjet D Series. It was £20, and the ink cartridges was like £5 – each catridge would last like 2 months.
Perfect little thing it was.
So, yeh – search HP Deskjet D Series. You’ll find your answer there.
Hope that helps.

You can get 11 free cartridges every month for Epsons which each hold about triple the ink of Epson cartridges. This does not involve joining a club or mail-in rebates or committing to any other offer. Here are the details: ccs-digital.com/freeink.asp
If you’re looking for a reliable all-in-one inkjet with good quality output, a solid warranty and inexpensive ink, look at the Epson workforce or NX series. The best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will fedex a replacement and pick up the old one should you need it.
here’s the nx415 for $60 at officemax

Kodak is the best brand there is. The ink costs from 10-30 CAD. They make a lot of all-in-ones.

Kodak claims that their printer uses the cheapest ink. You can read about it here: kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=15586&pq-locale=en_US
And stop offering 10 points. Do you really think anybody cares about those useless points?

Laser printers will always have the cheapest cost per page. Get a descent laser printer.

Kyocera are pretty well renowned for being a little more expensive up front, but way cheaper to run (and therefore cheaper in the long run). i don’t know specific models, as i’ve only dealt with their large office printers (probably a bit much for a student!), but at least one of theirs was recently included in a multifunction printers roundup in one of the many PC magazines i read, and scored well on (surprise) being cheap to run.

Go to epson.com and buy a printer direct. Free S&H, Cheap prices, 1 year Exchange Warranty [the Best around], Great tech support. Now for the icing on the cake. Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month. inkproducts.com/ink-store/
I have a CX9400Fax and using the CISS and would not be without it.
BTW, using a CISS makes it cheaper than a Laser printer
