Inventory Help Please?

OK, I have thousands of items in my stores inventory and I wanted to know If I prints barcode labels on each individual item, and after someone bought an item and I scanned if with the UPC reader would that item automatically be removed from the inventory?
I just need to know when I run out of something so Im not selling something that I dont have….I have about 70,000 different pieces of clothing and I cant go through and hand count them all!

    if your software was set up for that. Just scanning an item does nothing. The software must be loaded with all the barcodes and the software would have to have an inventory module on it tied to the sales module.

    You could use access to make a data base and have it find the items when scanning a bar code. Then you would need to remove it by subtracting the qty. If you need help, let me know. Hope this helps,
