Is it true that if you rip the barcode off on a bottle of alcohol the cops can't track it?
Is it true that if you rip the barcode off on a bottle of alcohol the cops can’t track it?
If you rip off half of the bar code on a bottle of alcohol and for instance a minor gets it, the cops find it and then decide to track it…is it true the cops cant track who bought the bottle?
Best answer:
No it is not true. The cops do NOT need a bar code to track alcohol. All they need is the surveillance camera and soon they will figure it out. BTW, most establishments have them.

the bar code is only for store invintory and priceing use only
almost any thing you buy has one they are not made for one store or another all barcodes on any product say a bottle of rum is going to be the same on every other bottle of that same brand and size bottle

Yeh…. UPC only helps for pricing and inventory. How would you expect a cop to track it? Are you <16?
