is my flat panel display worth repairing?

If I provide all the installation labor can I get a replacement flat panel (17″) at a low enough cost to bother repairing it?
There are a group of multi colored, vertical lines (like a barcode) on one side of the screen. Gateway FPD1810.

    No, the part you oder may cost more than getting a new one.
