Is there a barcode on playboy with a price if you get a subscription or just when you buy from a store?

Is there a barcode on playboy with a price if you get a subscription or just when you buy from a store?
My boyfriend has an issue of playboy that he says he got from a friend who has a subscription but there is a barcode and a price on it – I didnt think that magazines that are sent via subscription have barcodes and prices only those sold in stores. Can someone clarify?
I get several magazines via subscription and none of them have a barcode or price on them just my address label.
