I’ve designed many labels for products.
I’ve never heard of such an idea.
1. Where did you hear this?
2. To what end?
3. Why would they pay when they could simply make the purchase themselves?
4. Of what value is the label without the product?
5. What would they do with the label for research?
Sounds like an urban legend to me.
