I received this item as a gift from a relative in Alaska and I do not want to hurt their feelings by returning it, but I don't like it. I discovered that a product at one Walmart could not necessarily be returned to any Walmart. I purchased and item and misplaced the receipt. I go to two different stores, and didn't think it was a big deal. I could not return the item at the other store. Go figure! I took it to the other store, and I had no problems with returning it. Some stores can track sales on a credit card. Just ask if they can, and if you used one to purchase the item. Check cards work the same way. GL It could be Walmart. If a store is big like Walmart or Target, it's easy for them to get a product manufacturer to agree to use a store-specific barcode. My guess is that more expensive items will have these kinds of bar codes, but cheaper stuff like food and such probably wouldn't.
