Is there an XP printer driver for the NEC Superscript Color 3000?
Is there an XP printer driver for the NEC Superscript Color 3000?
I have a NEC Superscript Color 3000 thermal transfer printer, but cannot find any way to get a driver installed on XP for it. I was hoping either to find a specific driver for this printer or a Generic “Window Printing System (GDI)” driver that works with it… note apparently the “Windows Printing System” was not ported from windows 95/98 to ME/2000/XP or any of the non-DOS based windows version. But I was hoping someone may have ported it besides Microsoft or maybe there is some other solutions out there to get this printer to work with XP. Help!!!
I have tried the NEC site, but they don’t support the printer in ME/2000/XP, only in older operating systems; also, windows update doesnt find a driver, though XP plug and play recognizes the ID of the printer as an “Other Device”. Im hoping there is someone out there that has found another driver or perhaps a generic driver for the Windows Printing System that appears to have been removed from Microsofts operating systems after Windows 98.

ok so heres a thought have you tried going to the manufacutur’s site for the driver if not go to alldrivers.com or drivers.com and see if its there or do a add hardware and let your computer search the net for it itself
