Is there any software that can take a bar code and make it to a picture?
I am trying to have a picture apear when I scan a Bar Code. So when I place the Bar Code under the scanner a picture of the person apears. Does anyone know of a program that can do that? Thanks

Yes, this is possible to do. It would be a little bit complex in terms of what you need to encode in the barcode itself, how you configure your barcode scanner, and how you setup the software into which the barcode is read.

For example, you might have a software that is open waiting for input from the barcode reader into a field that specifies the file name of the picture file. This file name is encoded into the barcode. When the scanner scans the barcode is imports the file name into the “Image File Name:” field of your software.

The only thing left to do would be to configure your barcode scanner to automatically confirm this with a carriage return (Speak: “Hit Enter”) to OPEN the image from your hard drive.

This is a little bit of an over-simplification, but I hope this gives you a rough idea.
