isn’t it a shame the religious right is manifesting their belief by their blind faith in BUSH?
The Beast (Antichrist) is believed to be the dictatorial leader of a “one world government.” He would promise peace to the world while leading the world’s population into apostasy, and impose a “one world money system” based on the number 666.
To quote Revelation 13, verses 16-18 (NIV):
“He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.”
Thus, with this understanding, it was and is believed that everyone, in order to enter into this economic system, had to have the Number of the Beast some kind of mark branded on them. This created speculation as to the nature of the mark. One theory has a computer chip such as an integrated circuit being inserted or injected via hypodermic needle under the skin, perhaps a transponder, see also Microchip implant (human). As with the Roman emperors of ancient times, he would impose martyrdoms on those refusing to take this mark. At some point after his appearance, a large number of Jews would convert to Christianity and preach the gospel after the Christians had been removed by the Rapture.
Some believers in this theory began reading the newspaper headlines, concerned that some world leader might have the prophesied characteristics to be the Antichrist, and wondering whether the continuing Mid-East violence might be a sign of impending Armageddon. They were also concerned with such things as Social Security numbers and UPC barcodes, concerned that these tax identification numbers may be precursors to the Number of the Beast. The acceptance of this mark would mean that one’s soul would receive judgment by damnation.
The Antichrist, (it is believed), will take center-attention on the ‘world-stage’ initially as a global peacemaker which Daniel mentions in Daniel 9:27. This coming prince will enter into a covenant or treaty with Israel for a period of seven years. Perhaps using global disarmament, he will promise to ensure peace in the world after a particularly destructive future war (this future war being a belief of post-tribulationists; not of Dispensationalists). His ally in world leadership will be the Whore of Babylon who is seen in vision by John, recorded in Revelation 17. John saw this mysterious harlot actually riding the beast and exerting some sort of control over it for a period of time. This mother-harlot entity heads up an apostate church or global system of false religion, which includes other, less influential churches.
At the midpoint of the final seven years, a world ravaged by plague and turmoil turns to the Antichrist to lead it. Their hope is that a world dictator will promise “peace and safety” and he will usher in a new age. The Antichrist, however, is possessed directly by Satan and will eventually display his true intentions. Again, in Daniel 9:27, the prophet states that at this time this “prince” will stop the daily sacrifices, (which had been resumed again on the Temple Mount). He then commits an appalling sacrilege not unlike the outrages of the Greek Seleucid ruler Antiochus IV Epiphanes. Now fully revealed as the Beast, the Antichrist assumes global dictatorial rule and establishes his economic system based upon the mark of ’666′.

oh well. what pisses me off is that I don’t even believe in the religious crap. Now even the people that don’t follow the bible will perish thanks to some stupid book and the blind followers.
gee thanks bible folk
ARMAND- i was thinking hillary. strange huh? since she is endorsed by bush and rove. she is the only one that wouldn’t investigate Bush as president after his term. Hence why she will be president. makes sense
as for he chips etc. rumor has it that it will begin next year- 2008. spring time.
i suspect the fialing housing, rising gas prices and eventual default across the world due to no gas will bring everything to a halt- groceries, commerce, loans, no way to get to work. EVERYTHING will freeze
at that point it is projected that people will be “begging” for the chip. i suspect there is a good reason they will want the chip.
the majority of the post is not my stuff. i think someone thought it was my writing. it is a quote. sorry if it didn’t come across that way.

Um….
so you’re saying that Bush is evil because he’s the Antichrist, and he’s the Antichrist because he’s forced people to get a barcode/microchip implanted into their skulls (which he hasn’t).
Then you complain about how loony the religious right is.
Okaaaay….

So, are you saying that Bush is the Anti-Christ? I’m not really religious, nor am I a supporter of Bush, but I don’t remember a microchip or tattoo of “666″ being implanted into me or marked onto my skin, and I’m pretty sure we’ve been in alliance with Israel longer than 7 years – since, like, 1956. And, last time I checked, Bush didn’t promise world peace, and most countries in the world hate him, even Europe. Even most of America. Now, if he were the Antichrist, wouldn’t everyone have to love him in order for his evil plan to go through?
And who’s supposed to be the Whore of Babylon? Barbara?

lol
go watch zeitgeist
google video it
its quite interesting and substantiates some of the stuff you are talking about
although the first third is not relevant. it talks about microchipping people and the north american union whereby bush intends to join with the beaners down in good ole mexico and the canadians and form one nation – which apparntly has already occured. even google it – they just kept it quite. So, it seems, bush is alredy on his quest for world domination. who knows.
anyway revelation is pretty hard to interpret and unless your an expert on hermenuetics i suggest you dont take those meanings to heart lol who knows it may mean something else
but yeah pretty well written, are you lyk a doctor of something or some high intellectual

As a member of the so-called religious right, I’d like to point out that not all of us follow W blindly. (I being one of them.) I beleive that one’s religion should inform one’s politics, and that politics and religion are a dangerous combination.
I don’t think W’s an antichrist, nor do I see him as a savior-type. I see him as someone with faith, yes–but I also see his flaws and faults. He’s human, as are we.
As for the mark of the beast: That time is coming, and trust me, I’m not planning to wait around for it. The technology is here, and things like a national ID card is only the first step, in my opinion. (Please note: This is MY opinion. I’m not calling this fact, not by a long shot.)
What concerns me more is how people perceive Christianity–it is so much more than rules and regulations.
Finally, I’d much rather place my faith in Jesus than in Bush; Jesus was fully man and yet fully God. That is the great mystery: “…but (he) emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men, being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” (Phillippians 2:7-8, NASB)
Good question!
Blessings–

ex_righty, I think it’s really something that you took the time to research the end times. You found a very interesting article in wiki, that’s for sure.
The bible is full of prophecy.
Rev. 19:9,10 says:
“The Angel said to me, “Write this: ‘Blessed are those invited to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb.’” He added, “These are the true words of God!”
Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said, “No, don’t worship me. For I am a servant of God, just like you and other brothers and sisters who testify of their faith in Jesus. Worship God.
For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.”
That’s what the Bible says, and I believe every word. I am so thrilled that I am invited to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb.
So many times I have wished I could just make it make sense to someone else. Like yourself, you know? It is such a great thing to feel secure and to really know it’s not just faith, but to know that it’s TRUTH, and that you are alive, living it, knowing your destiny, and able to freely worship the One who made you. All it takes is the first step. Ask him. Ask him to reveal himself to you, ex_righty. I know he will do it. He does it every day to people everywhere who want to know for real that he is real. He died for you. Do you honestly think for one minute that someone who loves you so much that they would die so you could be protected, would not share his love for you WITH you? He will. Ask him. Go get your invitation. It’s just waiting to be sent to you, personally addressed, to your real name.

I keep my faith and my politics separate.
Nice of you to attempt merging the two, though.

As much as it’s a shame that the illigitimate liberals are manifesting their belief by their blind faith in Al Gore and his religion/war on summer called global warming.

More ranting over nothing worth reading!
Don’t get me wrong…I do study the bible, religiously…however, my answer reflects that of most people who frequents this site…it’s too wordy and imposes the bible on people…try a different approach…maybe then people will not be so offended by all your references to the bible. Personally, I do believe in everything you wrote…I am studying the book of Daniel as well… God bless you and know that He loves you, for trying to reach out to the “unchurched” people in this site.!!!
Don’t blame President Bush for everything…now, that’s offensive. Despite what you read about him here in this Y!A site, he does truly believe in God. He is a child of the Lord as well. He tries his very best to be the BEST President this country has had!!!! Take it from someone who know Politics.

I agree with you. The blind faith religious right are clueless to what they are actually supporting in this nation. They think that the people they vote for are true Christians and that they are doing the right thing. They are so easily lead astray from what their Bibles say.Obviously they do not have minds of their own.
