Magic the Gathering and Card Bar Codes to catalog collections?

Does anyone ever think mtg magic the gathering will introduce bar code technology on their cards so a person can better manage their card collection. It seems to me that with everyone getting smart phones now-a-days and there are apps out there that can read bar codes that MTG might be thinking of this strategy. Maybe wizards of the coast can sell a USB bar code reader. I could see the cards having one of those little square dot codes in the lower right or something
