Making it stick: what kind of glue can I use to make paper labels stick to DVD jewelcases?

Making it stick: what kind of glue can I use to make paper labels stick to DVD jewelcases?

I’ve tried Elmer’s glue-all, a generic glue pen, Ross Stick, and three other types of glue and after awhile, the paper labels simply come unstuck and fall off. I’ve tried two-sided Scotch tape. I’ve tried the sticky labels supposedly sold for the purpose. Nothing has worked! Now I’m trying making paper sleeves for the jewelcases but those look kinda sloppy. Help?

I just put labels on the CD itself and it shows through the cover. If you have your heart set on putting labels on the cover, you could try to rough up the surface a little bit with sandpaper to give the glue something to stick to.

Rubber cement or 3M spray adhesive. You may need to wash the outside of the cases with warm soapy water and rinse to remove processing oils.

There is a new glue out on the market called,
Liquid Fusion. It works great. You can also try
Tacky Glue. Both are excellent glues.

Indeed. After carefully cleaning the surface of the case, you can use 3M 77 spray adhesive. You want to lightly mist the area of the case you want the label to go (making sure to lay down newspaper otherwise you’ll overspray and get it on the table or floor) and a light misting on the back of the label. Let these sit about 30 seconds. Carefully line up the label on the case, press into place and it should be fine.
The other answers are good ones, too. This is just a method I’ve used before.
