My computer screen turns into a blue barcode, help!?
I use my laptop everyday and every time, it will freeze and a few lines of white barcode on a blue background appear.

After about 5 seconds, the computer will restart and this gets so annoying! Is there anyway to fix this? My laptop is almost 1 year old.

I am a novice when it comes to technical aspects of the computer so please word any answers as if talking to a dummy. Any help would really be appreciated!

Its not barcode, its White text, its just its flashing by before you can read it.

Its called a Blue Screen of Death.
Next time you turn your laptop on, repeatedly press the F8 key so that a safe mode menu comes up.

Try going into safe mode. If that doesn’t work, repeate the boot up and F8, and this time select Disable Automatic Restart (If available)

This will let you see the Blue Screen error code, then I suggest you post a new question here with the complete details of the Blue Screen.

    You are experiencing some type of hardware conflict or failure. Right click on My Computer and select Manage. In the box that appears highlight the Event Viewer on the left hand side. In the sub-topics select either Applications or System. That will display what is happening inside your computer on the right hand side. If you see a red “X” double click on it and it will tell you what program or application is causing the problem.

    You can also go into Device Manager and under the Hardware tab will be a list of all the hardware on your computer. Look for anything with a red symbol and check its properties. That will tell you which hardware components may be having a conflict.
