Shorten Monarch / Avery Code 128 Barcode Length?

Shorten Monarch / Avery Code 128 Barcode Length?
I’ve come into an issue with creating an SSCC certified label to the following specifications.

Printer: Monarch 9416
Label Size: 148 mm x 105 mm (Height x Width)
Barcode Size 1: 72.5 mm x 38 mm (Height x Width)
Barcode Size 2: 78 mm * 29 mm (Height x Width)

Issue: The barcodes being generated are Code 128 and the one with specifications above are too long. I’ve included a partial copy of the code sent to the printer for this barcode below

B,1,25,V,510,100,8,20,380,8,L,0| ———- Problem Code Line 1
R,1,”~2014210363000~201900001″|
C,450,100,0,10,1,1,O,L,0,0,”(421) 0363000 (90) 0001″,1|
B,2,25,V,100,40,8,20,290,8,L,0| ———- Problem Code Line 2
R,1,”~20100393149540000211279″|
C,50,75,0,10,1,1,O,L,0,0,”(00) 393149540000211279″,1|
}

{B,1,N,1|E,0,0,1,1,0,1|}

I’ve tried to using a density selector of 20 (the 8th item in the B line above) and it isn’t enough to correctly shrink this barcode to the required length (This is the most specified by the coding manual for this printer). Is there some other way to go about minimising the length of the actual barcode for both to 72.5mm and 78mm in length respectively?

If you could provide me the code line for generating this barcode to each specification above that would be fantastic. I ask as I have been told that barcodes have been created with certain software packages (of which I do not have access to due to cost / licence etc) to the specification provided.
Please note, the characters for the barcodes encoding can’t have the AI code (~201) removed as this is the only way of getting them to encode properly for this particular printer.
Its not so much the size of the font that displays below the barcode that is the issue, it is the barcode itself. As the bars are printed in certain widths each (1 unit, 2 units, 3 units etc) I need to change the width of an individual unit (density). It should also be noted that I do not have access (or means) of using a code 128 font.

Best answer:

Get a Code 128 font and pring it on a smaller size (you can print it at 1 point, if your printer has high enough definition). However – if the code can’t be read at the size you need, you’re being asked to put 40 ounces into a quart bottle, and that’s just not possible. (It depends on the reader that’s going to be used. Cheap barcode readers need large, high-contrast print. Spectrum can make a reader for any size you can print, as long as the spaces between the bars are spaces.)
