So i’m going to start my own business.?

So i’m going to start my own business. What i’m looking for is a software program and equipment to where i can have a customer come in, spend like 3 minutes giving me their information. I will then print this to a membership card. Preferably paper with a hard plastic surrounding (like blockbusters does) and give to them. This card will have a barcode on the back and their information on the front. I then want them to be able to come in anytime, be able to just scan their card and pull up all their information. Simply recording their visiting time. Sorry for the long winded explanation. But does anyone know the best software and hardware for what i’m looking for? Thank in advance

    I’m thinking you need to get a program that does ” Bar Coding”. The paper for the card is just that; paper! putting the card in plastic is something you could do yourself, as I think a program that would accomplish that type of task is probably a little expensive for small start ups. I also think you would be able to purchase a used bar coding system with hardware and software as they have been upgraded significantly in the past few years, I’m willing to bet there’s a bunch laying around on some obscure shelf in the back office. I would try any company that deals with shipping as they would be inclined to buy state of the art stuff to stay on top of their game… Good Luck!
