  A crazy homeless guy told me it was Carbon, as in carbon based lifeforms. The mark of the Beast is the flesh you “wear”.

  However if you look hard enough you’ll find this number EVERYWHERE, randomly by coincidence and not by “design” or “fate” or “deity’s will”.

  The anti-Christ couldn’t get everyone to be numbered or barcoded, so now they’re moving on to try RFID.

  And when that becomes obsolete, whatever replaces RFID will be the mark of the beast. Eventually, the world will end, and whatever technology is last in line – that one’s the mark.

  That number is actually a code for Nero Caesar. John of Patmos wrote that entire book in codes to avoid further prosecution from the Romans. I can’t remember Nero’s whole name, but when you do the math, it’s Nero’s name.

  The entire book is coded. It’s stuff that already happened. Suprise Suprise!!

  It will be whatever the next mysterious (to some) thing that comes along, just as it has been for the last 2,000 years.

  And what to look out for? Watch out for people trying to scare you into submitting to their belief system by telling you that the end is near, and is the evil mark of the beast.

  It’s all based on a book that was written by a man who was talking about events in HIS time. That was about 2,000 years ago so it has NOTHING to do with us. John was referring to the fall of the Roman Empire which would lead to the end of Christian persecution in the 1st century.

  Leave it to Obama and technology. Clinton tried, and it failed. This old rumor has been pushed up through every age, and even Hitler tried it with his tattoos of the Concentration camp inmates.

  If anyone would bother to read the passage, it is like many other things in the Bible, an image used to explain something to people who cannot think outside of what they know. Try explaining to a caveman about a computer. You either use pictures that he can form in his head, or you can’t do it. Man, at the time this was written, couldn’t think about the things we do today, from cell phones to walking on the moon. The actual form that it will take was known to the author and he tried to explain it in the best way he could. For all we know, it could just be the use of scars to mark a person, as has been done for ages now. Then again, it could be some form of technology that will be invisible to the naked eye but show up under another form of light or to certain people. Not all creatures see in the same spectrums of light or even in light, like some snakes use heat.

  Sadly, most people only know about the Bible from what others say about it, not what is actually in it or that which they have read themselves. I’m not sure which is worse, not being able to read the Bible, or not being willing to read it even though you can read the language. One couldn’t and one won’t.

  Capekik; Your question of the 666 is not an easy one, yet it is not without answer. It seems that the Lord does not want it to revealed now or before the time appointed.
  It is possible that i give you the letters that the total of them will add to 666 and you found that it is such person, or priest, or pastor, or pope or prophet, or … what would be the benefit to you since the time is not at hand when such person or his successors are going to taking the post of the ANTI CHRIST.

  The number to the Oriental mind is three separate sixes, or 6,6,6. The number six is short of 7. Seven represents whole complete, pure, whereas 6 is unholy, impure. It is a representation of the unholy Trinity, the false prophet, the beast and Satan.

  My theory…….

  The only way anyone could ever get so many people to do any one thing is by controling the money….. If they can get the world to go to a 1 world currency then they can rapidly change that to be more electronicly done……… Micro chips as small as a grain of sand can be injected by a needle (shot) just under the skin of your hand and you would then just run it under an infrared scanning light to read it in stores to pay for things much like a credit card today…… These chips can also be tracked and monitored…… I have heard they are trying such things out now in people’s pets……

  come on people? Do you even study the bible or just watch movies, read fiction novels and go by what everyone else tells you?

  Do you even have a clue what the beast or anti christ or false prophet is?

  Do you even have a clue what a beast in biblical prophecy represents?

  Have any of you ever read the Book of Daniel to find out what the abomination of desicration really is?

  The book of Daniel does not ever speak of a man sitting on the throne. EVER. The only thing the book of Daniel talks about that could even be thought of to be the abomination of desicration is exactly what matches it’s meaning (hated thing that destroys) when the armys of the north come down and completely destroy the temple and the holy mountain that it sits on.

  Bible prophecy always symbolizes a governing body as a beast. ALWAYS. The first beast coming up out of the land is the anti-christ. Not a man, not a woman, not a person but an entire nation is the anti-christ. The beast coming out of the water is the false prophet. Not a man, not a woman but an entire nation is the false prophet.

  So knowing this who fits the description of the anti christ and the false prophet? The U.N. is the only governing body that fits the description of the anti christ and the united states fits the false prophet to a T.

  The U.N. cannot force the world to accept it as their government, nor can they force everyone to accept Their “mark”… not until after a great disaster happens that will force the world to look to them for guidance. Such as “stars falling from the sky causing the waters and rivers to become poison” (meteor shower) and “kills one third of the worlds population”. Then the U.N. can impliment their mark that no man woman or child on earth can buy sell or trade without.

  So…. knowing these things, what will be the mark of the beast? It will be when the U.N. finally takes over the world with the enforcement of the false prophet the unites states and issues a W.I.N. or world identification number and accepting this will proclaim your allegance to the beast, the U.N.

  Or everyone’s completely missing the point, and it’s symbolic. If the mark of the beast was a chip or a barcode, no one would want it. Except maybe foreign people with different value systems and religious foundations, but they’re weirdos. Much more believable, and subtle, is that the mark of the Beast is an attitude (the mark on the forehead) which, naturally, affects your actions (mark on the hand).
