Suggestions for a Emergency/Airband Scanner?
I’m looking for a radio scanner that picks up emergency and airband frequencies. any other frequencies are a plus as well. I want one thats handheld but has some sort of dc plug-in so i dont have to use batteries all the time. Hints, ideas, websites? thanks!

Where do you live? Different places use different types of scanners. For example, here in Colorado, you have to have a digital scanner to get the emergency services. That’s not true most places, but it is here. Most scanners will get the air bands, so that’s not a problem. Nowadays, you can get a DC or AC adapted for nearly any scanner.

Check Radio Shack. They’re the best for scanners.
