Unable to find UPC code on a Halo 2 PC box?

I’ve have searched for the UPC code and ISBN code all over the box and on the inside, but I fail to locate it ANYWHERE. I am trying to find it to put it up on swaptree.com. What I am asking is if there is anyway to figure out what the code is or to at least register it with Swaptree. Thanks for you assistance.
It isn’t on the manual or any other paperwork inside.
The box LITERALLY has no Bar code on it. It is a legit copy, yes, but NO bar code. All I really need to do is to try to register at Swaptree, but I require a the UPC code to register it.
This copy of the game was bought online at amazon as new and given to me by my brother. I know for a fact it is a legitimate copy, but now as I think about, I believe the barcode was on the plastic shrink wrap. I no longer have that bar code, and, no receipt or record of it kept.
Is there anyway I could at least put up a UPC that will register to Swaptree as a Halo 2 PC game?

check the instruction manual inside the box, should be either on the back, front or inside the front page

What you are looking for is the BAR CODE label, which is also sometimes shown as the PROOF OF PURCHASE label. You can see what one looks like here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Product_Code

It IS on the outside of the box somewhere. Maybe you just are not aware of what one looks like. In real life, the label is about 1″ high by 1-1/2″ wide. The bar code will have a 10 digit number printed below the actual bar code. The number will be grouped, 1 digit, 2 groups of 5 digits, and 1 digit. The single digits are the “start” and “stop” characters so the reader can identify the proper orientation to read the 2 groups of 5 digits. Most EVERY item you can buy in a store has one of these labels. This is the thing they scan when you leave the store to ring up purchases. Sometimes the bar code is blurred or misprinted and the scanner can not read it, and the clerk has to punch in the numbers by hand, which is why it is always on the outside. You will never find a UPC inside because it is designed to be machine read by simply waving a scanner in the general vicinity. By the way, in the scanner, the red light you see is not the scanner but simply a pointing device for the real scanner which uses infrared. What you really need are the numbers below the bars on the label. Here is a link to a sample image of what a typical UPC looks like:

I would be absolutely amazed if you did NOT have a UPC on the original box. About the only things I know of without a UPC are fresh produce in the supermarket…

EDIT: If there is NO bar code on the box, then whether you have a legitimate copy is questionable, OR you do not have the original box with the “proof of purchase” label. Without the proof of purchase label, you have no way to prove your copy is legitimate, which is exactly why this site you refer to wants the UPC. Microsoft puts special laser etched labels on their products to foil counterfeiters from making copies for the black market. Maybe you actually bought a fake without realizing it. If you bought it from a reputable dealer, I hope you saved the receipt! One last thing, the ISBN number will be on the page with the copyright information in the manual or other printed documentation inside the box.
