Using Barcode in Peachtree & other accounting packages.?

Using Barcode in Peachtree & other accounting packages.?
I am using peach tree for inventory and invoicing etc. I would like to know if I purchase a barcode reader will it be easy to link between barcode and peachtree for Invoicing. I also have Tally accounting package. will barcode work in this. Thank you,

A barcode scanner is simply a user input device, no different than a mouse or a keyboard. It reads the barcode and converts the code into text, then inputs the text to your software just like you typed it in.
So yes, it will work with either of the software packages you mentioned.
