Wal-mart associate discount?

I was hired the 22cd and i was wondering when and how i get my discount, also i tried logging onto walmart.com and going to the associates area and it asked me for my card #. my id badge doesnt have a # just my name on the front, a barcode and my name on the back and the yellow card attached.

    Many moons ago I just had to give them my name tag. You only get 10% but it is better than nothing. At least now they have groceries.

    they should have covered this in your orientation….were you sleepin? lol! You can use it now – it takes about 2 weeks for your card to get to the store. In the meantime when you want to use your card you have to have a CSM/CSS take care of the discount.
    p.s. it isn’t 20% at Christmas time. It’s an extra 10% on ONE item at Christmas.

    I guess it depends where you live……

    We get 20% off 3 items on ONE day, usually in November (it’s the.. “journee d’apreciation des associes”.. something like “Associates’ appreciation’s day”). We also have cake and a free food on that day.

    And we have 10% off the rest of the time. You’ll get a card (that works everywhere. I mean, I live in Quebec, Canada, but my card works every in the US too, so i guess it works the other way around too :)), with your.. “talon de paye” (like the paper that tells you what your pay will be ?) not the first time that you get that paper, the second time.

    And before that, tell call a manager or someone higher than a regular cashier to give you your 10% off :)

    Don’t forget to keep an ID with picture, if they don’t believe it’s really your card, they might not give you at all the discount, if you can’t prove it. (It happens to me all the time, I work at night and I have tons of piercings/apparent tattoos, so day people don’t know me/believe me :P)
