what does it mean "Single Cartridge System" for a laser printer?

what does it mean “Single Cartridge System” for a laser printer?
and if u answered that can you answer:
is”9600 dpi color scanning” indicate a good scanner for an office
for the scanner:
Optical: 600 x 1200 dpi
Interpolated: 9600 x 9600 dpi

Best answer:

Some printers have multiple cartridges for the toner. (My color lasers have 3 different color cartridges and a black cartridge,)

That isn’t very good quality for scanning. Cannon Lide 25 scanners are much better than that.

it means your laser printer takes only 1 cartridge that has both color and black ink.

I’m assuming you are talking about a black only (mono) laser
It means the printer using a print cartridge that contains a toner holder and image (OPC) drum all in one unit.

Some printers featre a toner container, and a seperate OPC unit. these often work out cheaper over printers live, but mean extra things to change.

For an Office scanner, 600×600 is good enough scanning, unless you NEED to scan VERY high resolution images. Remember a proper old fashioned photo is only printed at about 300DPI, but using tru colours, not the screen print system an inkjet uses.

The name of the printer would be helpful.
