what does the rebate form mean by upc code?
it says include original upc code. packaging came with a bunch of bar codes, and a sheet that says the thing i bought plus the word upc and a bunch of numbers. which 1?

the little bar code that the cashier scans when you buy the item. has a series of numbers next to something that might look like a bar graph

it’s usually on the box. it’s what the cashier used to ring the purchase up. it looks like a bunch of lines and some numbers. cut this off the box and send it in with the rebate form and reciept and whatever else they ask for. follow it to a t otherwise you probably won’t get your rebate check.

There are several standard forms for UPC codes. The most common will have a small digit off to the left, followed by 2 separate sets of 5 digits each under the bars, (the left set is the manufacturer’s code, the right set is the item code) and then a single small digit to the right.
