What fish is this? Help please! Transparent yellow and black stripes!?
What fish is this? Help please! Transparent yellow and black stripes!?
It is yellow with black stripes, and the yellow stripes are slightly transparent, and I can see it’s insides through the yellow stripes.
It stays at the bottom of the tank, hardly moving. All of the fishes of the breed behaves the same way. It is very small in size.
In the fish shop, it was labelled (mistakenly) as a bumble bee fish.
Thank you! :)
The stripes are vertical on the fish, and it is normal behaviour for it to always stay at the bottom of the tank..
The yellow stripes are see-through.
Thanks again!!

black strips make me think of a tiger barb. Specially if they are vertical . Does it look like this?

Maybe he is a golden zebra danio if he looks like this :

IF he is a at the bottom of the tank he must be real sick because that is not normal behavior for them. He could be a goby if he looks like this :
http://www.cheapfish.co.uk/bumble_bee_goby.jpg Gobies are salt water fish. here is a link with info on how to care for them:

There are several species of gobies that are commonly called bumblebee gobies. Most are brackish water, however at least one species tolerates fresh water.
Chances are it is one of these species.
One species with transparent yellow stripes is found on the first site below. Click on the pic to see it in yellow.
You can also Google “bumblebee goby photos” and try to id it this way.
If none of these match, try to send a photo.

The fish you described “MAY” very well be a BumbleBee Goby. The desciption and characteristics are very similiar to the BBG.
These are one of the few goby’s that have been successfully kept in freshwater. The yellow stripes may be fadded due to the stress of travel and new environments. If the fish is new, it may need a few days and some high protein foods to return to it’s natural color.
