What happens when you lose the barcode that lets you get inside the gate at your apartment complex?
Like, I’m assuming you can go to the leasing office and get a new one, but what happens if you later find the old one? Would it still work?

They will probably charge you something for the new one- the old one will get shut off so it won’t work anymore even if you find it later.

You pay a fee and get a new one from management.
Depends on management, but usually the old one still works.

First you look again for the old one, praying to St. Anthony while you do it. If you still can’t find it, you pay for a new one. If the leasing office is smart, they cancel the old barcode.
