gojo hand cleaner has pumice(a volcanic rock expelled during an eruption). Its used my mechanics for its gentle abrasive cleaning.

Basalt has been melted and formed into fibers, which have been woven into a fiberglass like fabric. Someone else mentioned the use of pumice. Cinders are used on icy road. Obsidian has been used to make surgical knives. Volcanic rock is crushed and used as concrete aggregate.
