What is a good Warehouse Management Program?

My organization needs a better system…. Badly.

Preferably we would like a web based system, people can log in, see what items their department has, (brochures, shirts, etc) and even have a checkout request. Like, our mailroom needs to mail out some brochures, so they take 50. The program sends a request to the manager of the department so that s/he is aware of the materials taken.

If not web based, a computer program is fine. If you could provide prices and links, even better. Thanks

    For your kind of use it would be relatively easy to build a suitable database system with a web front end. All that is required is a mysql database, php and a web server. You would need inbuilt user security control and this could be handled by the same system.
