For some scanners built in wireless means it has wireless, but you have to configure the settings. Wireless ready means it is already fixed up to detect your computer, you just have to tell it which one to use.

    wireless ready means that you can put a wireless card in and it wont mess you computer up built in wireless usally means theres a card in there already
