What is the difference in price for say a inkjet printer or a laser jet printer ?
looking to purchase a printer, scanner, fax copier and I want to get something sturdy and easy to use, such as installing the ink, a multipaper fax, making pictures, having a lcd screen. I am under the impression that laser jets are alot more expensive.. thanks for your answers

Best answer:

Lasers are not that expensive at all. And they cost much less to use than an inkjet. The main difference is that inkjets tend to be more versatile (for instance, better for photos)

Yes laser types are costlier, because in almost every measurable way it is sturdier, that include the actual printout.

However the criteria you list is indeed out of most household budgets for a laser type but an inkjet based MFC is much less in cost.

Unless your running a business, the Laser, in what you want to use it for, is going to be very expensive. A good inkjet would be better..they do however use a lot of ink fast! and are a bit slower than a laser
