What kind of code/technology is behind Yahoo’s new homepage?

I like Yahoo new homepage… the expended box to preview new e-mails, the multiple tabs within the same box (center column), and “More Service” button under the right navigation bar to open up a list of items…. Everything looks so dynamic. And never mess up the page layout. What kind of code/technology is behind Yahoo’s new homepage?

Mostly, on the front end, Ajax and javascript. They actually allow you to download the Yahoo Ajax toolkit that has a lot of these features. On the back end of things they use PHP and a number of other languages.

There’s also a batch of good CSS (cascading style sheets) coding in there as well.
