What legal reason should I list on the forms for the divorce?
FYI, This is another question to go with my last question about this same situation. I married him while he was in prison. MY MISTAKE! He did two years, got out, did the 1/2 way house thing, then we tried to do the normal married couple thing and and live together, that lasted 3 months. Then 3 more months later his p.o. came to my house looking for him. This was in Nov. 06. I have no contact or knowledge of him. The last time I asked, readers were confussed whether or not it was a commonlaw or a licenced marriage? Well, I went to the mayors office, picked up a licence, took it to the jail, I signed it by myself, the gaurds passed it threw to him, let him sign it, they gave it back to me and I turned it back to the mayors office, they printed a barcode, pasted it on the licence and VOILA! I’ve filled out all the forms but what should I list as the legal reason for divorce? There were no witnesses, and presure from the other to marry. I wont need his signature will I?

These are a few:
Irreconcilable differences,
Bigamy: bigamy means a spouse was knowingly married to another living person at the time of marriage.
Force: force means threats or acts of harm were used to force one spouse into the marriage.
Fraud: fraud means deception regarding a significant matter that led to the marriage and continued until the breakup.
Incapacity: incapacity means a spouse was and continues to be physically unable to consummate the marriage.
Incest: incest means the spouses are close blood relatives.
Prior Existing Marriage: prior existing marriage means a spouse married on the mistaken belief that his or her previous marriage had ended in the death of the other spouse, who in fact was still living.
Underage: underage means a spouse was below age 18 years at the time of marriage and did not obtain parental consent or a court order permitting the marriage.
Unsound Mind: unsound mind means a spouse could not and has not formed the intent to marry due to a mental condition.

Being in love is a temporary form of insanity.
