What’s the most cost-effective point of sale system?

I’m starting a small retail business specializing in selling kitchen utensils. I was wondering where I could get the most cost-effective Point of sale system. We are opening three branches in about four weeks so we need to set this up as soon as possible. Hope someone could help. Not really sure were to get one. Thanks very much!
