when are barcodes added?
a quick question for my business project.
when are barcodes added to products. for example an off-license or a small newsagent which stock lots of items. do the barcodes come printed on the products when they are bought or does someone in the shop have to print them on.
any help appreciated.

I work in retail and everything comes with the barcode already applied to the items.
