When did VIN numbers begin using bar codes?
When did VIN numbers begin using bar codes?
I know that VIN numbers on vehicles became 17 characters in 1981 but when did they start including bar codes with them?
Best answer:
Only some car manufacturers use bar codes on the VIN. GM and DODGE don’t, for example.
