when i return a videogame to walmart, do they scan the barcode to see if it was bought from there?
i bought gears of war 2 from walmart. however, i don’t have that exact copy any more. right now, i have a sealed gears of war 2 bought from costco. however, i still have my receipt from walmart.

1) if i try to return my gears of war 2 bought from costco to walmart with a receipt for walmart, will they check the barcode anyway?

2)also, when returning sealed videogames not bought from walmart, will they scan it and deny a refund if it does not match?

Yep that is called inventory control sorry. It will scan as not being one of threes.

    Yes they sure will check if you brought it there they do that anywhere you go too many scams going on

    1. yea they try to scan it but it won’t work cuz it’s from costco.

    2. yes they will. they’re really strict.

    This is the rules in the walmart where i live but it might not be the same so try it. if not you could sell it on ebay for alot of money if it is still sealed.

    They are not going to accept it. If you want to sell it go to half.com. You can sell books, dvds, and video games on this site.

    All the previous replies are incorrect.
    a UPC number is a UPC number regardless of which store it was purchased.
    Make sure the UPC number of the item you want to return matches your receipt and if it does it is fine.
    Keep in mind they may have software return restrictions though.
