Where can I purchase [online?] the security labels that go on the edge of Compact discs…?

…at retail? They are oval shaped.
These labels can often be seen on retail CDs and fit over the spine and are oval in shape [approx 75mmx55mm].

They are mostly transparent but at the centre there is a black border with white writing saying something like ‘security protected’.

I need a supply for our cd’s which we are publishing!

You put those on in the store they are sold at. The code is in the store’s computers and is triggered by the little tunnel you walk through at the doorway. I don’t know where to buy them (I imagine there is a pre order in the office at all chain stores) but what I do know is they won’t do you any good if you’re selling CDs at the club or farmers market or something.

If you’re worried about mailing then it’s a matter of inventory. You mailed them 300 units and they pay you for 250 units, then something’s up and you 2 have something to talk about. An old trick is to steal like 3 units a day and report they are all accounted for. The loss margin will never be noticed.

I do not see exactly what you want, but these folks deal with security tape/stickers for retail purposes, and offer free samples if you are uncertain. They would be the ones to contact!
