Where would I go/ Who would I see to get a new type of barcode designed exclusively for my company?

I don’t want a 1D barcode, like UPC. I think the best type would be a 2D barcode like Semacode or Datamatrix or Shotcode. However, I do not want to use any of these.
I would prefer a visually appealing design.
I will also need a software reader that works with images taken from a camera.

Okay, I messed up! I wanted to add that the main purpose of asking this question is to get a new barcode design made (not one of the currently available designs). I added the part about reading it via camera to make it clear that whatever barcode I get needs to be readable by camera. At this time, I don’t need the reading software.

Check out this link. This company uses cameras to read 2D barcode data. As far as desining a specific barcode for your new company I’m not sure if they can help you out or not.

pdf417 is a 2d barcode, but it’s just black and white boxes, dunno if that’s visually appealing enough.

seems like it wouldn’t be worth the trouble of creating your own barcode standard, as no readers out there would understand it anyway.

check out Azalea, they do barcode stuff and may have what you’re after.
