Where would you recommend I purchase a medical tag bracelet or necklace for my elderly dad?

Where would you recommend I purchase a medical tag bracelet or necklace for my elderly dad?

He is diabetic as well as a heart patient. Do pharmacies sell them? He is not interested in becoming a member with an organization where he is wears a monitor for emergencies, only a necklace or bracelet with info for medical personnel of his conditions. Also, would one tag have both conditions printed on it? What do these medical tags generally have written on them. Thanks.

I am not sure what is written on them but have seen them at the pharmacy at our local hospital. Probably other pharmacies have them also. Call around in your area or the drug store where he gets his meds. If this doesn’t work ask his doctor where he can get one.

I ordered one from this site: http://www.americanmedical-id.com/marketplace/buildPage.php?fromsearchengine=google-medic_alert_bracelets_phrase&source=0D100K&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=GoogleUS&utm_term=0D100K

It was accurate and arrived quickly. They vary in cost, depending on size and type of metal used. They give you ideas for what information needs to go on them, according to your patient’s needs. I think that most of the websites are pretty similar.

I got an order form from our pharmacy when I needed one for my daughter, I think it was Medic-alert, you can get extra information engraved on them if needed, she was allergic to a couple of anti-biotics in addition to her medical condition. They have a website now you can order from.

I prefer the medic alert bracelet which contains info the back of the medal and a number for medical personnel to call for ALL of my medical info and all my allergies and medications I take.

The pharmacy in the store I work at sells these that are specific to the different problems a person may have. Check for more specifics with the pharmacist, I have never seen them with multiple alerts on one bracelet. Doesn’t hurt to ask and find out!

I bought mine at the pharmacy several years ago.

I’m a diabetic. It had a short chain – so I went to Walmart and bought a longer chain.

They also had the tag for the wrist.

    I like the long chain.

You can check with medical supply stores.

I’ve seen them locally at all of our pharmacies Jackie. If you can’t find one there, look on the internet and order one.

    Good luck!

Most drug stores carry them. You can order them online, too. I have seen ones with multiple conditions listed. I have a necklace and a bracelet for diabetes and alternate wearing them. My daughter has made me several cute beaded bracelets for the wrist one.

They can be purchased online as well as in most pharmacies.

    Have a Seasoned day.
