Which printer shud i buy .laser or inkjet?

Which printer shud i buy .laser or inkjet?
I compared the prices .. inkjet is much cheaper than laser.. aslo Ink jet has scanning, colour prinout and photocopying functionality ..
now I read that laser printers are faster and prints pages of better quality.. also the inkjet,s cartraige needs to be replaced ofetn .and so maintaince become more..
I just read that
My requirements are
I will take printout of a test paper(10-15 pages) daily… so whats better option for me
having extra scanner and photocopying at cheaper rate sounds better.. but then how much will qulaity of print be affected and what about cartraiges cost

Best answer:

Inkject is most suitable for you. Ink jet printing cost is also cheaper. In ordinary Laser jet you can only print BW and that doesn’t make much quality wise difference between inkjet and laser jet when you are printing on a plain paper.

You can get an All In One laser but the only advantage with a laser is that the nozzles do not clog if you don’t use for months. Inkjet printers must be used at least once a week, nozzles do need to be cleaned occasionally. I’ve been using Epson printers for over 10 years, they have the best warranty in the industry. Go to epson.com and then Go to inkproducts.com/ and buy a CISS for your printer. It will save you tons of money, you never change cartridges and never run out of ink [yes, you do have to fill the tanks once in a while] Bulk ink is cheap. The CISS will pay for itself in a month.

It might look like inkjets are cheaper but in actuality they are more expensive than laser printers in the long run. If you don’t care about colour printing or the multifunction aspect then you should consider an entry level laser printer. Even though the toner might cost you 100 dollars, it should last you at least 5000+ pages of printing. Inkjet cartridges might only cost 15-30 dollars but I doubt if they will even last you 500 pages(and they don’t even tell you how many pages it will last you most of the time).

The quality from laserjets is more consistent than inkjet, it’s faster than inkjet and the toner refills are actually cheaper than inkjets. The only difference is that inkjet printers are way cheaper. Also it looks like ink cost might be cheaper but don’t be fooled because the ink doesn’t last that long.

I’ve seen entry level multifunciton laserjets selling for 80 dollars so you can get one of those also. One thing to do before buying the printer is to first check how much the toner refill will be, some companies charge more for their toners than others.
