Why did a Mac computer print out what should have been a barcode on a pdf as numbers?
Initially, I viewed the pdf file on a pc, and the pdf showed a barcode, but when I viewed it on a Mac, it showed what should have been the barcode as numbers.

It sounds like the PDF was created incorrectly. Normally PDF files include (embed) the fonts used in the document, to avoid exactly this kind of problem – but it is possible to create a PDF that doesn’t include embedded fonts, though obviously it’s not a great idea. One thing you might try doing is to download and install a free barcode font onto the Mac, that might allow you to to view the file correctly.

There is a different version, which you need to update on you’re pc, I did this already, took me a while to figure it out. Depends, Newest Adobe Reader, maybe other comp has the old version, check both pdf’s, hope this helps bro!
