Why do people say “Hole in barcode” when selling used items?
I was looking at a CD on amazon and i saw that on the used option many people said “Like new, hole in barcode” What is the purpose of punching a hole in the barcode? i should still buy the item right?

The hole means it was sold through gray market. The hole will be in the polystyrene jewel case.
