Why doesn't black and white film have a barcode like color film does?
Why doesn’t black and white film have a barcode like color film does?
I ask because a commercial printer cannot pick up the frame numbers. I really can’t understand why bandw film wouldn’t have the barcode, it doesn’t make any sense unless its not possible. Okay dorky question..lol
Best answer:
That is so the C41 processing machine can read the film. The Black and White film is for darkroom processing and most don’t need a bar code.
