Why doesn’t Team Penske have the “Barcode” Marlboro logo like in F1?

neo, the United States is one of those countries where tobacco advertising on racecars is prohibited. I realize the livery for the cars has remained the same, but I think the barcode would look cool on the sidepods instead of “Team Penske”

It’s probably because they already have the “Marloboro Mountain” on the car.

    Since Ferrari is so well known for the specially red cars, I doubt they would ever agree to change the cars lively into the design Penske currently runs. That’s why they use to barcode instead.

    BTW, that color scheme on the Penske car is well known enough around the world as the Marlboro scheme. As long as the word Marlboro doesn’t appear on Roger’s cars, using the color scheme is legal. However, when Greenlight Toys makes their die casts, they have to remove some of the red on the Penske team cars. Apparently, if they faithfully reproduced the cars as they appear in real life, Greenlight could get in trouble for putting a known tobacco ad (the red and white patterned color scheme) on a children’s toy.
